Job Description
The Division of Student Affairs at Texas Wesleyan University equips students with essential skills for their future careers. At TXWES Esports we do this by uniting with our students to transform their passions into workplace-ready skills in a supportive engagement-based community on the path to educational and personal success. The TXWES Esports Broadcast Coordinator plays a critical role in this mission by managing all technical aspects of our live match broadcasts. This in-office position supports all live competitions requires some evening hours and will directly impact the visibility and professionalism of our esports program.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Operate and manage Twitch and YouTube livestreams for all TXWES Esports matches and some community events. Set up troubleshoot and maintain audio video lighting and overlay systems. Build scenes using OBS Studio before live matches and events and manage them during broadcasts . Coordinate match-day stream setups in advance of gameday including cameras audio mixers Elgato systems and live switchers. Ensure high-quality consistent broadcast standards throughout the season. Commit to approximately 6-10 hours per week including availability for live matches which may occur during evenings. Maintain confidentiality comply with FERPA regulations and uphold University policies. Plan prioritize tasks and meet deadlines amid changing priorities. Due to the constant changes to the working environment in esports and gaming additional duties may be added or retracted from this job description at the time the need arises.
