The Strength and Conditioning Assistant Coach is an annual limited appointment responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of assigned sport program(s) strength and conditioning related activities. This role will aid in maintaining regulatory compliance and providing expert knowledge in strength and conditioning fostering a competitive intercollegiate program and a positive student-athlete experience.
Assists in in the development and monitoring of individual and team weight training and conditioning programs with the understanding and knowledge of best practices in strength and conditioning including performance enhancement and injury prevention.
Demonstrates ability to set and achieve ambitious goals independently pursue ongoing professional development and actively contributes to a collaborative and positive workplace culture.
Serves as a point of contact and liaison to coaching staff medical professionals and student-athletes to monitor physical health improve athletic abilities and provide information and coaching.
Uses strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate and work effectively with staff and student body.
Teaches trains and develops student-athletes to optimally perform the physical requirements necessary for success in competition while demonstrating a commitment to student-athlete character development.

Athletics
Starting at $35000 and commensurate with experience
Bachelors degree required in Exercise Science Exercise Physiology Kinesiology Physical Education or related field
Minimum of one year demonstrated practical experience in strength and conditioning preferably in a university or scholastic setting.
Current strength and conditioning certification from a nationally recognized program such as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) or National Council on Strength and Fitness Certified Strength Coach (CSC) OR ability to obtain upon hire.
Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification and/or demonstrates experience to respond appropriately in the case of injury or other health-related issue OR ability to obtain upon hire.
