Job Description

Job Summary:

The Controls Engineer 2 role involves supporting and transitioning across multiple projects focusing on electrical knowledge and field support. The engineer will be responsible for checking cables and wiring performing site walk downs preparing cost estimates supporting start-ups and developing layout and conceptual designs. Building effective relationships with plant staff design engineering staff and vendors is crucial.
Location: Washington Alabama United States
Responsibilities:

- Supporting and transitioning across multiple projects
- Checking cables and wiring in the field
- Performing and assisting in site walk downs
- Preparing cost estimates
- Supporting start-up activities
- Preparing layout and conceptual designs
- Developing IO lists
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Accredited bachelor s degree in engineering
- 5-7 Years Experience in related field
- Solid Electrical knowledge
- Experience with field support
- Experience with control narrative and markup
- Experience with checking cables and wiring in the field
- Experience with cost estimating in sub disciplines
- Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff design engineering staff and/or vendors
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Configuration /graphic skills in one or more platforms: Ovation Foxboro ABB or PLC
