Job Summary:
This role is for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) providing direct patient care in a medical-surgical unit within a Level 1 Trauma Center. The CNA will assist patients with activities of daily living collect patient data assist with procedures and perform clerical duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The position requires mandatory floating between facilities and adherence to a specific RTO policy.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including ambulation hygiene feeding and positioning.
- Collect patient data such as vital signs weights and specimens.
- Assist with patient care procedures including incentive spirometry oxygen therapy setup and post-mortem care.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones data entry and coordinating supplies.
- Communicate patient status changes to licensed professionals.
- Float to other facilities as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum two years of recent acute care experience in medical-surgical settings.

Special Considerations:
- Mandatory floating between facilities at the discretion of the facility.
- 3x12-hour shifts 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
- Every other weekend or two weekends per month are required.
- Maximum five days of Request Time Off (RTO) with no more than two consecutive days. No RTO on weekends holidays or the day before/after a holiday.
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility.
- Level 1 Trauma Center environment.
- Cerner charting system.
Scheduling:
- 3x12-hour shifts 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
- Every other weekend or two weekends per month are required.
- No block scheduling.
