2 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment with a strong focus on the manufacturing industry
Experience in hiring skilled trades and technical roles (e.g. engineers technicians)
Proven ability to source screen and hire candidates for various manufacturing roles
Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment laws
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment platforms
Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume hiring environment
Familiarity with recruitment software and tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter Indeed and other job boards
Responsibilities
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract assess and hire top talent for various positions within the manufacturing plant
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process from job posting to onboarding
Collaborate with department heads to understand hiring needs and develop job descriptions
Source candidates through multiple channels (online job boards employee referrals recruitment agencies social media etc
Build and maintain a pipeline of skilled candidates for future staffing needs
Participate in job fairs and career events particularly those focused on manufacturing skills
Assist in workforce planning and forecasting collaborating with department managers to anticipate future hiring needs
Use market data and analytics to make informed hiring decisions and recommend improvements to the recruitment process
