Position: Project Manager
Location: Kinston NC ***Day Onsite***
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management (70%):
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key business stakeholders including department heads project managers and end-users to understand their strategic priorities challenges and opportunities.
Needs Assessment & Solutioning: Proactively identify business needs and pain points that can be addressed through technology. Translate business requirements into clear and actionable IT project proposals and solutions.
Strategic Alignment: Ensure IT initiatives and projects are closely aligned with overall business strategy and objectives. Advocate for technology solutions that deliver tangible business value.
Communication & Expectation Management: Serve as the primary communication bridge between DWP and assigned business units. Clearly articulate strategies project updates potential risks and system changes to non-technical audiences. Manage stakeholder expectations eectively throughout the project lifecycle.
Change Management: Champion technology adoption and lead change management eorts within business units to ensure smooth transitions and maximize the benets of new solutions.
Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Establish and manage feedback loops with business stakeholders to continuously improve DWP services and solutions.
Vendor & Partner Liaison: Collaborate with external vendors and technology partners ensuring their services and solutions align with business needs and company standards. DWP Operations Management (30%)
Project Management: Manage and deliver DWP projects on time within budget and to the required quality standards. Develop project plans allocate resources and monitor progress.
Policy & Procedure Development: Contribute to the development and enforcement of IT policies procedures and best practices to ensure security compliance and operational eciency.
Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of DWP budgets ensuring cost-eective utilization of resources.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested.
Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends evaluating their potential impact and making recommendations for adoption where appropriate. Required Skills and Qualications: Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Administration or a related eld.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in IT with at least 3-5 years in a role involving signicant business partnering or stakeholder management.
Proven experience in IT management including operations and project management.
Exceptional Communication Skills: Superior verbal wrien and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and inuence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong Stakeholder Management Abilities: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders manage expectations and navigate complex organizational dynamics.
Business Acumen: Solid understanding of business processes nancial principles and organizational objectives. Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a proven ability to identify issues evaluate options and implement eective solutions.
Leadership & Inuence: Ability to lead by example inspire condence and inuence decision-making without direct authority.
Preferred Qualications:
Masters degree (MBA or MS in Information Systems).
PMP SAFe ITIL CSM or CCMP would be plus
Experience in manufacturing would be a plus.
Demonstrated experience in leading digital transformation initiatives.
