Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician is to provide general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms grounds and public spaces.
Work Performed:
The Maintenance Technician will be tasked with the following duties responsibilities and assignments:
Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis (e.g. room care);
Complete work orders from guests and hotel associates and record inlog;
Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls television sets lighting systems and make minor repairs and/orreplacement;
Make routine repairs on all hotel equipment including small appliances kitchen equipment laundry equipment boilers pool equipment HVAC hand and power tools and general plumbing systems such as pipelines toilets andsinks;
Service the hotels pool including adjusting chemicals and cleaningfilters;
Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets tables chairs doors windows and counters including paintingand finishingfurniture and fixtures ifneeded;
Operate powerequipment hand tools and vehicles associated with ground maintenance and landscaping activitiesin allseasons;
Maintain grounds equipment and tools in proper working order. Perform minor maintenance and repair on equipment and tools as;
Remove trash daily from sidewalks grounds landscaping and parkinglots;
Provide friendly prompt service for hotel guests and associatesin accordance with Atriums CoreValues;
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures including reporting accidentsinjuriesand unsafe work conditions to management; and
Any and allother work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
Qualifications:
- Six (6) months of maintenance experience
- Hotel maintenance experiencepreferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- HVAC Electrical and/or Plumbing Certificationpreferred
- Able to lift a minimum of 50lbsoccasionally
- Able to lift a minimum of 25lbs regularly
- Ableto bend and squat repeatedly
- Able to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift
- Flexible towork dayshifts early mornings eveningsnightsweekends and holidays
Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set years & depth of experience certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
