Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Identify the root cause of equipment malfunctions through observation testing and diagnostic procedures.
- Perform regular maintenance on machinery and equipment according to schedules or instructions. This may include cleaning lubricating and adjusting parts to prevent wear and tears.
- Repair or replace defective machine parts components or systems. This may involve using hand and power tools specialized equipment and potentially fabricating parts.
- Use various tools and equipment for maintenance and repair tasks such as power tools and other machinery.
- Fix or replace faulty electrical components repair plumbing fixtures patch walls and address minor carpentry issues.
- Document completed work tracking inventory and maintaining records of maintenance activities.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and procedures. This includes maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Assist in maintaining the inventory of spare parts and supplies.
- Work with other team members supervisors and sometimes clients to address maintenance needs and ensure smooth operations.
- Provide guidance and training to other personnel on basic maintenance procedures.
- Removing snow and ice from walkways.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; Technical school a plus.
- 2 years experience working as a maintenance technician.
- Strong mechanical electrical and potentially hydraulic or pneumatic knowledge. Experience with various hand and power tools.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
- Ability to stand for extended periods lift heavy objects and work in various physical positions.
- Ability to follow procedures maintain accurate records and ensure work is completed to a high standard.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other team members supervisors and potentially vendors.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to accomplish maintenance goals.
- Understanding of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to Follow Instructions: Adhering to safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
- Basic Computer Skills: For record-keeping and communication purposes.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift push pull and bend up to 50lbs unassisted
- Physically demanding requiring prolonged standing walking lifting and working in various conditions.
- Adhering to safety protocols and procedures is crucial for preventing accidents and injuries.
