Are you looking for a growth opportunity where you can contribute to a very important mission Come and be part of our team in the dynamic world of L3HARRIS Space and Sensors. We are seeking an Engineer to join our space and sensors team.
The role will involve being the primary manufacturing technical support for our space manufacturing programs. In this role you will be responsible for support of all assembly and build processes. Ideal candidates must be able to work in a highly regulated build space and work with complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
Essential Functions:
Work in a cleanroom environment
Follow all safety rules and guidelines
Follow all plant manufacturing guidelines and GMP
Generate build and assembly instructions utilizing complex assembly techniques
Support the technical needs of the production staff on mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies
Responsible for designing developing and validating manufacturing tools and processes
Work cross functionally with manufacturing quality and design communities
Communicate and perform production readiness reviews
Displays a high level of independence and personal accountability to meet company and personnel deadlines including capital procurement
Support the build and assembly of FPA products
Manages projects including capital procurement and installation
Secret clearance
Ability to travel 0 10%
Work extended hours
Lean Six Sigma PFMEA is a plus
Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering Science or Technology degree. A focus in engineering technologies may be considered in lieu of the requested degree with 3 5 years experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
MS degree a plus
Experience executing production readiness reviews
Procurement support and installation of capital equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude
Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems is a plus
Passion for continued learning
Strong assembly skills including fastener torquing staking ability to handle large systems and assembly troubleshooting
Strong time management and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to prioritize multi-task work independently and adapt to sudden changes in plans
Experience interfacing across various teams and functions
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles desired
Experience with Microsoft Office Suites
