Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting function in multiple entities and ERPs ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and have a proven track record with month end close.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review journal entries in multiple ERP systems ensuring entries are accurate with proper support.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations in multiple ERP systems ensuring the general ledger is accurate and properly stated.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with the month-end closing process ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
  • Evaluate accounting processes and propose solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Analyze financial data explain variances and prepare reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts and calculate foreign currency revaluations.
  • Assist with daily banking activities and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Assist and ensure accuracy of tax filings to local and state government agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting.
  • 1-2 years experience in a staff accounting role.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask prioritize and meet deadlines timely and accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
