Job Description:
The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris is seeking a Senior Level Deputy Program Manager to join our Huntsville AL Missile Solutions Sector Hedquarters location. This is an opportunity to support the large solid rocket motor (SRM) stage three program for our prime contractor as it goes through EMD and into subsequent production.
We need a dynamic leader to achieve program success. This position will help an evolving development program critical to the Segment and will routinely interface directly with customers and internal program team members to ensure effective program execution. This is an exciting opportunity to join an establish team inside the Sentinel business area and work a high-profile program critical to the defense of our nation and our allies.
Candidate must be customer-focused and provide the best most cost-effective systems or capabilities within contract bounds while remaining innovative and agile to achieve the optimal solution. Candidate must be able to operate independently drive change and continually seek to manage projects through to completion. This role requires absolute honesty in reporting project status including risks corrective actions along with providing potential solutions. Candidate must be able to direct a technical effort making clear the objectives of the project at the same time as providing clear assignments & deliverables for each team member. Additionally the candidate must be able to gauge the overall effort and re-direct questions towards the team (to include the senior leadership team) to quickly iterate or pivot the project to its needed successful completion with all actions resolved. It is important for the candidate to have the ability to estimate manage cost and integrated schedule understand earned value management tools and deliver on commitments. Lasty the candidate must have the ability to effectively communicate progress and issues to higher-level management functional discipline leaders (COEs) the program integrated product team leads and supporting team members.
Essential Functions
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant program management experience Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of related program management experience or 13 years of prior related program management experience in lieu of a degree.
2 years of EVM/CAM experience.
2 years experience in an operations or production environment supporting hardware.
2 years proposal experience; writing a basis of estimates and guiding team members across the IPT in creation of defensible bids.
