Summary

As part of a highly collaborative consultative and ambitious HR Services Team the HR Operations Specialist I will execute day-to-day transactional support of employees managers new hires and the KCNSC HR community. This person will facilitate critical employee lifecycle processes such as pre-hire activities onboarding orientation offboarding and various other actions as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides timely support on an array of HR-related inquiries including but not limited to policy and procedure questions and applies judgment of when to escalate requests and/or queries.
  • Ensures timely and accurate processing of actions and provide ad hoc or regular reports on people information.
  • Develops and follows standard operating procedures for regularly occurring processes including but not limited to data entry audits facilitation/coordination of new employee orientation onboarding and employee inquiries.
  • Maintains employment files and ensure compliance with records management.

You Must Have

  • Bachelors degree in human resources or related field
  • Internship or similar introductory experience in human resources responsibilities such as onboarding orientation internal mobility and offboarding.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to work remote hybrid or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

We Value

  • 1 years experience in human resources
  • Hands-on experience with Peoplesoft SuccessFactors or ServiceNow
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
