Lecturer in Biophysics Education Focused

  • Employment Type: Full - time (35 hours a week)
  • Duration: Fixed Term until 14 Nov 2029
  • Remuneration: $127k - $150k base depending on experience (17% super leave loading)
  • Work Rights: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates must hold full rights to work in Australia to be considered for this position

The incumbent will contribute to undergraduate teaching in Biophysics and across related disciplines within the School of Biomedical Sciences. Some responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures tutorials practicals and small group sessions. They will also demonstrate and continuously develop a well-defined teaching philosophy that inspires student learning.

Who you are (skills and experience):

  • A PhD in Biophysics or a related biomedical discipline (and/or a medical degree with relevant professional expertise).
  • Demonstrated experience in effective teaching including development delivery and course convening at an undergraduate and/or postgraduate level in biophysics and/or similar biomedical discipline preferably with quantitative methods
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
  • Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSWs aims objectives and values in action together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
