Your future role:
Reporting to the Site Quality Manager Rollingstock the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the right first time is achieved for our local project as well as to ensure that the manufacturing and test processes are followed. It will ensure that the Rolling Stock is built to specification and ensures that the manufacturing and test records are produced on time and accurately. This is a 18 month fixed term contract.
Alstom has been awarded the PTA Australias $1.6 billion Railcar Program. As part of the project we will design manufacture and maintain 246 new railcars needed for Metronet projects and the replacement of the A-series trains. We will also deliver 6 DMU (diesel multiple unit) railcars to replace the five diesel railcars that operate the twice daily Australind service between Perth and Bunbury.
