Job Description

Skills & Duties:

With an immediate start available you will be required to:

  • Lead Reliability-focused engineering activities to optimise product performance
  • Develop and implement predictive analytics to identify emerging issues
  • Identify and diagnose systemic product and component issues
  • Collaborate with factory engineering to drive long-term product improvements
  • Provide expert reliability advice to internal stakeholders and customers
  • Guide data-driven decision-making to reduce asset life cycle costs
  • Lead and develop the reliability engineering team with a focus on reliability excellence
  • Monitor and report on key reliability metrics and trends across the fleet
  • Compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) and Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policy and Procedures.
  • Alerting the organisation of potential or known problems that affect the quality of LAS products and services
  • Active involvement in department continuous improvement development of processes and stakeholder engagement to support the LAS strategy.

Essential Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering Batchelor degree engineering qualification is required to provide technical leadership and engage effectively with factory engineering teams.
  • Strong Understanding of Reliability Engineering Principles and Tools Experience with tools such as FMEA RCA Weibull analysis and reliability modelling as well as knowledge of predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Minimum 10 Years Experience in Mobile Equipment Mining or Heavy Industry Proven background in equipment reliability maintenance engineering or product support with a focus on long-life high-value assets.
  • Strong Knowledge of Mining Equipment Systems and Product Performance Requirements In-depth understanding of complex systems such as powertrains hydraulics and electronics within large mining machines.
  • Advanced Analytical and Data Interpretation Skills Competence in interpreting large equipment data sets to identify trends diagnose issues and support data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Skills Ability to influence cross-functional teams represent the region in global forums and communicate technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Current drivers licence (C class minimum).

Desirable Requirements:

  • Mining industry experience.
  • Master of Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing budget and financial requirements.
  • Experience working in a mature continuous improvement environment.
  • Experience working on Liebherr equipment and sound working knowledge of the tools and processes available.
  • Understands and can articulate Liebherr component programs and warranty processes.
  • Experience managing remote teams.
  • Understanding of Liebherr Systems and Processes.
  • Understanding of Affiliate Franchise or Agency business model.

And most importantly demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers!

Those candidates successful in progressing past interview stage will be required to undergo a Pre-employment process including National Police Clearance and Medical Screening which includes drug and alcohol testing.
