Job Description
About the Project:
Join a team working on a Scala-based application designed for stress testing in the credit risk domain. The system processes large volumes of data to simulate and analyze financial stress scenarios. Scala is used extensively across the stack - from Spark-based data processing to backend services supporting the UI and even in monitoring tools for file management. While Spark experience is appreciated its not a strict requirement.
The project focuses on maintaining and enhancing existing solutions with potential future involvement in cloud-based components (GCP). This is a great opportunity for developers who enjoy refining robust systems and working with mature codebases.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve existing Scala-based components across various parts of the system
- Collaborate with team members to ensure reliability and performance of stress testing workflows
- Contribute to backend services data processing pipelines and monitoring tools
- Potentially support cloud migration efforts in the future.
Requirements:
- Solid experience with Scala (minimum 2-3 years) ideally in backend or data-intensive environments
- Familiarity with functional programming principles
- Exposure to Spark is a plus but not mandatory
- Nice to have: experience with Oracle databases CI/CD tools (Jenkins TeamCity) or Google Cloud Platform
- Intermediate English proficiency (written and spoken).
