The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is actively recruiting a Dentist to join a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Omaha Nebraska where you will provide high-quality patient-centered dental care for all. Utilizing an integrated care approach our providers work collaboratively to address all aspects of patients health and believe that exceptional compassionate care should be accessible and affordable for all. Medical dental behavioral health and outreach services are coordinated to ensure well-rounded comprehensive care.

Your Role:

  • Provide full scope comprehensive general dentistry for patients of all ages
  • Educate patients in the general promotion of oral health related disease prevention
  • Supervise dental assistants and hygienists
  • Assist in implementation of QA / QI program for the dental clinic as required by state federal government and local entities
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve health outcomes
  • Work in conjunction with dental hygienists in community engagement outreach and educations programs


What We Are Looking For:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of dentistry with an unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the state of Nebraska; Federal DEA License
  • Knowledge of PCMH model of care FQHC healthcare delivery model and public health principles and practices
  • Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically under-served individuals in a public health setting
  • Ability to foster strong patient-provider relationships
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and risk management standards and processes
  • 2 - 3 years of experience required
  • Active BLS certificate
