A role with Strategic Sourcing means building and executing category management plans andleadingsourcing and negotiation approaches forindirect spend categories. PRIMARY FUNCTION/ PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This roleacts as a trusted advisor; consistently delivering on fundamentals andadvancedsourcing techniques through the execution ofcomplexand/orambiguousprojectswithtailored engagement will lead cross functional workteams and provide sourcing and negotiation guidance in primary category and/oralternate programs as will contribute to the development or enhancement of institutional sourcing/negotiation best practices. You will develop eventstrategiesand buying programs for indirect spend categories including guiding the team in financial analysis methods such as clean sheet and award scenarios.
In this role you communicate and present to internal and external stakeholders (includes the proficiency to engage with Sr. Leadership using tailored messaging and/or storytelling) are able to speak the language of the business and are skilled enough to drive and manage change across the organization with speed and operate independentlyin the applicationof thestrategic sourcing practice quickly connecting its vision and strategy to project execution that aligns with stakeholder leveraging partnerships with subject matter experts youll support teams to develop innovative sourcing strategies optimize outcomes and generate results based scenarios that are focused on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) decision making criteria (quality service and cost impact).You will proactively develop a project pipelinein fulfillment of client category goals and activelygrowrelationshipsin support of that balancecategory management business development and collaborative project leadership to deliver results. To ensure desired outcomes while communicating progress in a timely and fact-based manner youll manage and report on progress against sourcing project goals. You identify and effectively manage a variety of conflict solutions.
You will lead (both internally and externally) contracting effortspartnering with the appropriate legal teams(including large and complexefforts). You actively participatein contract drafting contract analysis/review and will summarize or interpretrelevantbusiness impact. Demonstrating knowledge of supply/demand dynamics and industry cost structures and mechanisms is critical in this role. You will leverage your knowledge of supply chain costing and delivery models and are able to apply them through-out the project product or contract lifecycle. You will maintain awareness of policies and deploy best practices in ethical business behavior.
You lead and act as a peer mentor to coach newTMs in skills development.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence: Extensive experience working in dynamic CFT environments with ability to actively grow relationships and deepen business partner investment/engagement. Independently leads and influences and can convert sourcing best practices to a vision and execute outcomes that meet the diverse needs of internal and external stakeholders.
Expertise in Sourcing & Negotiations: Has contributed to the creation or institutionalization of S2C best practices. Experience developing and leading innovative sourcing strategies that result in best-in-class outcomes on complex/ambiguous programs. Proactively develops sophisticated category management pipeline and provides sourcing and negotiation direction
Decision Making: Experience assessing pros and cons to optimize TCO business decisions. Independently anticipates up and downstream impacts of decisions and can proficiently communicate corresponding risks/benefits to stakeholders including Sr. Leaders. Can manage change and harmoniously resolve stakeholder conflict.
Technical Aptitude : Has routinely leveraged technology (SAP Ariba Greenfield Skylight Domo PIQ) to make informed data driven decisions. Champions the importance of AI automation and machine learning and accelerates data hygiene routines that will enable procurement readiness.
Consultant Mindset: Experience using data insights market intelligence problem solving skills and relational capital to generate TCO models and tailored messaging to lead stakeholder decision making.
