ONxpress Transportation Partners (ONxpress) were chosen by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) to enter the Development Phase of the On-Corridor Works project the largest project in Metrolinxs GO Expansion.
Unprecedented in its scale and complexity this multi-billion-dollar capital program will transform the GO regional rail network with electrification more frequent service shorter journey times and a more modernized system for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

What Youll Do:
- Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts sketches engineering calculations specification sheets and other data
- Create building information models (BIM) using computer software to provide digital representations of physical and functional aspects of buildings and other engineering projects
- Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations
- Develop and prepare design sketches
- Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets
- Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data
- Write technical reports
- Prepare contracts and tender documents
- Prepare construction specifications costs and material estimates
- Supervise and train other technologists technicians and drafters.
What Youll Bring to the Team:
- Minimum of one year of AutoCAD drafting experience.
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or Architectural program.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD software and experience customizing AutoCAD scripts tools and Menus.
- Must have experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D.
- Basic understanding of municipality standards is considered an asset.
- Experience with drafting and design support principles practices process methods and techniques.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to following a prescribed set of global company standards processes and best practices
- Proficient with the use of computers and software including MS Office (Word Excel).
- Good understanding of how to read civil engineering drawings and site plans.
- Excellent safety and attendance record and previously demonstrated strong safety awareness.
