With successful digital game studios now operating for Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons Wizards of the Coast is evolving what was formerly known as the Digital Games organization into a bold new entity: Wizards Digital Ventures.

Wizards Digital Ventures is a creative launchpadour internal incubator for bold genre-defining video game experiences built on both original IP like Exodus and iconic Hasbro brands including Transformers and G.I. Joe. Its mission: to build the next great franchise in digital games and expand Hasbros presence in the interactive entertainment space.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Wizards Digital Ventures to lead this newly formed organization. Reporting to the President of Wizards of the Coast this executive will be responsible for the strategy creative direction and execution of original and franchise-based video game development initiativesfrom early concept incubation to live game operation.

This is a rare opportunity to chart the course of entirely new worldsand reimagine beloved onesfor the next generation of players.

A Day in the Life:

• Vision & Strategy: Define the creative and strategic direction for Wizards Digital Ventures aligning with Wizards of the Coast and Hasbros broader goals in interactive entertainment.
• Game Incubation & Development: Oversee the development of original and franchise-based video game projects ensuring high-quality execution from concept through release and live operations.
• Drive operational excellence: Establish scalable production frameworks resource plans and development pipelines that balance creative ambition with executional rigor. Ensure all projects remain within budgetary and scheduling constraints while achieving the highest standards of quality.
• Creative Leadership: Foster a culture of innovation experimentation and bold creativityfocused on building high-impact games with lasting player appeal.
• Talent Building: Identify and nurture top-tier creative and production talent both internally and through external development partnerships.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with teams across Hasbro to ensure brand integrity player relevance and go-to-market readiness.
• Portfolio Oversight: Manage a slate of projects at various stages balancing creative ambition with commercial viability.
• Industry Awareness: Stay ahead of trends in gaming player behavior platforms and technologies to inform product strategy and innovation.

What Youll Bring:

• A proven track record of successfully bringing new video game concepts to market ideally in leadership roles at top-tier game companies or studios.
• Experience building or leading internal incubation efforts or new IP development within the games industry.
• Demonstrated success finding and fostering emerging talent across creative design and production disciplines.
• Familiarity with both original IP creation and working with licensed or franchise-based content.
• Strong creative sensibility paired with operational and commercial discipline.
• Experience working in highly collaborative environments particularly with marketing brand and product development teams.
• Deep knowledge of the video game market and evolving trends across platforms genres and player demographics.

The base salary range for this position is $261040 to $391560. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience skills location and market conditions. Additionally employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
