Job Description
Position: Production Planning & Scheduling Leader
Entity/Department: Tenaris Bay City Inc.
Location: Bay City TX
MAIN RESPONSIBILITES:
- Coordinate rolling mill planning programming and dispatch activities.
- Plan rolling mill load in compliance with delivery terms.
- Verify plant capacity determining the load of different production centers planning the need for external suppliers issuing roadmaps and loading work orders and estimations for the rolling of semi manufactured products and controlling stock.
- Minimize furnace transitory conditions and internal transfer of products among plants to reduce transport energetic cost.
- Oversee order processing procedures ensuring that they are responsive and synchronized to client requirements and develop an integrated order entry capability ensuring real time order tracking.
- Implement collaborative planning forecasting and stock replenishment ensuring that production allocation optimizes load balance and assess and minimize the impact of demand variation on capacity productivity and inventory.
- Guarantee due care of materials and ensure appropriate storage.
- Monitor and control work-in-process stocks to ensure efficient operations collaborating with operational and logistics teams to maximize the output of bottleneck centers while also managing materials to be reprocessed to avoid aged stock.
- Comply with Tenaris policies procedures and management standards and ensure adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in a supply chain-related occupation within the manufacturing industry performing each of the following: Using SAP for Production or logistics sequencing and bottleneck optimization; using SAP for Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and raw materials replenishment; Extract Transform Load (ETL) data integration processing for streamlining production processes using PowerBI or PowerQuery; and using Just-In-Time (JIT) or Kaizen process improvement techniques.
