The Department of Ophthalmology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is recruiting a Pediatric Ophthalmologist at the Assistant Professor Associate Professor or Professor level. Salary and appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. We seek an outstanding individual with an MD degree who is board certified (or eligible) by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is eligible for Texas medical licensure. Successful completion of an ACGME (or equivalent) accredited residency in Ophthalmology as well as an AUPO accredited fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology is required. Duties will include sharing responsibility with our three current full time Pediatric Ophthalmologists in the didactic and clinical training of residents and fellows in Pediatric Ophthalmology and the clinical care of patients at Childrens Medical Center Dallas and UT Southwestern-affiliated faculty practice sites. The successful applicant will have demonstrated medical and surgical skills and interest in all aspects of Pediatric Ophthalmology and adult strabismus. Candidates with expertise and scholarly interest in the medical and surgical management of Pediatric Glaucoma will be given preferential consideration. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule
