About the role:

As a Test Engineering Intern youll apply your technical skills to support the planning coordination and execution of product testing activities. Working closely with experienced test engineers youll contribute to reviewing test protocols documenting results and identifying issues throughout the test process. This role offers hands-on experience with test development workflows cross-functional collaboration and vendor coordination helping you build practical knowledge in a dynamic engineering environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Analyze system requirements to design and develop test plans and protocols to ensure designs meet requirements.
• Conduct engineering and design performance tests.
• Analyze test results detect issues and track root causes.
• Develop engineering and design verification test reports.
• Work with a cross-functional team.
• Ensure compliance of project deliverables to GSM and supports system owners during external audits.
• Work independently to plan and schedule own activities necessary to meet timelines and communicate in a timely manner.

Required qualifications:

• Undergraduate or masters degree in engineering or related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a team environment.
• An analytical and quantitative approach to work as well as the confidence to influence people at all levels.
• Excellent organizational planning communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong documentation skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Technical knowledge of testing concepts for electrical/electro-mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
• Knowledge of ISO 14971.
• Knowledge of IEC 60601 series of standards.

Responsabilits

• Coordonner les livraisons de fournitures dessai et suivre lvolution des flux dessais de strilisation demballage et de fiabilit mcanique.
• Participer lexamen des protocoles et des rapports dessai pour sassurer quils sont complets et uniformes.
• Contribuer aux activits de dpannage en recensant les problmes dans le flux des essais et en compilant les donnes requises.
• Contribuer la documentation et lexcution des essais sous la direction dingnieurs en essais.
• Documenter les rsultats des essais.
• Communiquer avec les fournisseurs pour soutenir la programmation la documentation et le suivi de la progression des essais.

Comptences requises

• Baccalaurat ou matrise (ou en voie dobtention) en gnie ou dans un domaine connexe
• Plus dun an dexprience pertinente en dveloppement de tests (ou combinaison quivalente dtudes et dexprience de travail)
• Approche analytique et quantitative du travail et confiance ncessaire pour influencer les gens tous les niveaux.
• Excellentes aptitudes en matire dorganisation de communication et de collaboration.
• Solides comptences en matire de documentation.

Comptences souhaites

• Connaissance technique des concepts relatifs aux essais dquipements lectromcaniques.
• Connaissance des processus de strilisation et de restrilisation dans lindustrie des dispositifs mdicaux.
• Connaissance des dispositifs usage unique et de la conception et du dveloppement de cbles mdicaux.
• Exprience dans le domaine de la conception de cbles et de la slection de matriaux afin de trouver le juste quilibre entre les proprits lectriques la rigidit dilectrique et la performance acoustique recherches sans compromettre la flexibilit et la facilit dutilisation des cbles.

Compensation for hourly non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g. any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for salaried non-sales roles may also include variable compensation i.e. annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives).

This job involves regular collaboration with colleagues clients and stakeholders across Canada the U.S. and/or internationally making proficiency in English essential for effective communication and alignment. English is necessary for engaging with a range of documentation and maintaining effective communication if interacting with external clients or vendors.

As detailed in the job description this job involves communicating both verbally and in writing with other Boston Scientific teams located across Canada the United States and/or with our international clients and partners. International customers and partners represent an important part of our activities. Based on an evaluation we have determined that the duties of Test Engineering Intern position require knowledge of English in addition to French (oral and written). We also determined that the English language skills already required of other employees do not permit the performance of English language skills tasks related to Test Engineering Intern position.

However in Qubec Boston Scientific limits as much as possible the number of positions for which it requires the knowledge of another language than French. Boston Scientific solely requires proficiency in English where it is necessary for the performance of an employees duties.
