Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced proactive and goal-oriented Senior Project Engineer in our Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) organization to lead Engineerings support to Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) deployment and execution of key hardware. Reporting to the ESTO MRL Deputy Manager the Senior Project Engineer will lead and manage MRL activities for critical hardware interfacing with operations suppliers and the manufacturing engineering ESTO MRL Senior Project Engineer will be the primary owner of key MRL deliverables; planning milestones; risk identification communication and mitigation; and cost of poor quality reduction via the ESTO MRL organization. This position will be based in Middletown CT supporting Compression Systems Module Center (CSMC).
What You Will Do
Drive timely advancement and performance of MRL activities for assigned parts
Reduce and eliminate top driving defects for assigned hardware by overseeing implementation and execution of engineering changes
Support operations and module center manufacturing engineers with MRL activities for new product introductions (NPI) source transitions high Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and technology insertion tasks
Report MRL progression status and milestone risks to ESTO senior leadership internal and external customers
Support timely MRL progression and hardware transitions from development to production for assigned hardware
Proactively work with suppliers to obtain required data/documentation for MRL progression defect reduction and process capability improvements including PFMEA PCPCs Tool and Gage plans
Travel up to 10%
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelors in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
5 years of Engineering or Project Management or an advanced degree with 3 years of Engineering Program/Project Management
U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) work and relate with people at all levels of the organization and be self-sufficient.
Effective team player who can share coach and contribute freely in a team setting as needed.
Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word Excel PowerPoint NX and Outlook.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
ACE/CORE/6 Sigma knowledge and/or certification.
Strong understanding of other continuous improvement skills: DFSS Red-X Lean etc.

Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO): ESTO provides dedicated support by eliminating quality notifications escapes works stops and enabling producibility and delivery of legacy and new parts assemblies modules and engines. ESTO covers all engine programs and part families enabling engine deliveries first piece reviews first article inspections analysis automation process certification. ESTO also supports the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) initiative in Operations. Technical disciplines in ESTO include Project Engineering Mechanical Design Structural Analysis Product Definition and Manufacturing Engineering.

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
