Overview

Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking an Inventory Specialist Technician to be part of our Pharmacy Team in Clyde NC.

No nights or weekends!

What Youll Do:

The Inventory Specialist Technician will excel at performing all the responsibilities and tasks of a pharmacy technician. Additionally the Inventory Specialist Technician is responsible for maintaining a consistent approach to the pharmacy inventory management in conjunction with the pharmacy manager. Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare inventories order drugs and supplies receive drugs and stock shelves.
  • Receive store and inventory pharmaceutical supplies or medications check for expired medications and evaluate inventory levels for optimal efficiency.
  • Unpack sort count and label incoming medications from suppliers including items requiring special handling or refrigeration.
  • Manage prescriptions in the waiting bin inventory.
  • Perform returns of pharmaceutical products based on suggested returns identified items for returns and periodic counts.
  • Ensure pharmacy inventory levels are routinely counted to verify balance on hand is accurate in pharmacy management system. This may include developing a shared responsibility chart to include other pharmacy team members.
  • Ensure pharmacy counts are accurate prior to end of year inventory assessment that occurs March 31st annually.
  • Provides training on inventory related tasks to other pharmacy team members.

What Were Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • National certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician PTCB preferred.
  • Valid state pharmacy technician registration
  • Previous experience managing and supervising employees preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required. If bilingual provides language support services as requested based on patient and pharmacy needs.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology
