Job Description
- Perform CNC operations or any other task assigned to produce quality parts that meet all print requirements
- Able to interpret drawings manuals specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces sequence of operations and set up requirements
- Perform setup requirements and select tooling speeds and feeds for optimized tool life and program efficiency.
- Follow detailed operation instructions processes and procedures
- Able to safely and correctly operate hand and power tools and machinery including forklifts semi-automated material handling equipment and overhead cranes
- Participate in training and continuing education
- Perform shop environment duties as assigned
- Work overtime as required

- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years experience in set up operation and programming of CNC Mill machines
- Able to use precision measuring instruments. Instruments should include but are not limited to calipers ID and OD micrometers depth gauges indicators and scales
- Ability to read & Comprehend engineering drawings
- Understanding of writing and editing computerized numerical control programs milling and turning.
- Understanding of setting up and operating CNC machines with knowledge of cutting tool selection and application.
- Understanding of G&M Codes
- Understand blueprint reading skills and GD&T understanding.
- Basic math skills needed for CNC programming calculations
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision in a safe and efficient manner
- Experienced with proper PPE requirements/ selection and safe use of hand and light power tools
- Able to lift parts weighing in excess of 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in a bending standing or squatting positions for long periods of time (excess of one hour)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available for this position)
- Effective communication skills: verbal and written (English)
- Follow written and/or oral instructions in English
- Pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts
