Job Description

We are excited to invite a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to apply for the position of Food Technology Assistant at ourSt Clare Campus (Greenvale). This role offers a wonderful opportunity to contribute to a thriving learning environment support students in practical food classes and help inspire young people to strive for their best and to serve others.
About the role
The position is a service focused position supporting the smooth operations and delivery of curriculum in the areas of Food Studies. Key responsibilities focus on stock control; safety; health and hygiene; teacher support; and hospitality.
This is a part time ongoing position
Skills and experience
To be successful in this position you should demonstrate the following:
- Good organisational skills and familiarity with food handling regulations and other appropriate procedures.
- Ability to prioritise a range of tasks and manage time effectively
- Capacity to communicate effectively with members of the school community including students teachers and parents and the capacity to provide support and/or attendant care to students where necessary.
- Proven capacity to work effectively in the face of changing priorities and deadlines
- Capacity to work cooperatively with a range of people including teachers education support students and parents including the ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated qualifications and skills to support the delivery of Food Technology subjects to a high standard.
- A commitment to OH&S requirements commitment to meeting quality standards and the willingness to update their skills and knowledge on a regular basis.
- Compliance and prioritisation of Child Safety Standards
- A current National Criminal Records Check
- A current Working with Children Check Card
