You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Food & Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety hygiene and sanitation throughout the hotels kitchens bars restaurants and staff dining facilities. This role involves conducting regular inspections ensuring compliance with HACCP and local regulatory standards training staff on food hygiene practices and supporting the hotel in maintaining a 5-star hygiene rating.
Implement and monitor the hotel s Food Safety Management System (FSMS) in line with HACCP principles and local food safety regulations.
Conduct daily inspections of all food preparation service and storage areas across the hotel including kitchens bars banquet areas and the staff cafeteria.
Develop and maintain cleaning schedules sanitation logs temperature monitoring systems and pest control records.
Ensure food is handled prepared stored and served safely and hygienically in all departments.
Carry out internal hygiene audits and assist during external inspections by government or certifying bodies.
Prepare detailed reports on non-conformities suggest corrective actions and follow up until resolution.
Train kitchen stewarding and service staff on personal hygiene food handling cross-contamination prevention and proper sanitation procedures.
Coordinate with the Executive Chef F&B Manager and Engineering for equipment maintenance waste management and hazard control.
Investigate any food-related complaints or incidents and take appropriate corrective actions.
Stay updated on local food safety legislation hotel brand standards and industry best practices.
Bachelor s Degree or Diploma in Food Science Public Health Environmental Health or related field.
Minimum 2 3 years of experience in a food safety or hygiene role in a hotel resort or food manufacturing environment.
Certified in HACCP (Level 3 or 4) and Food Safety (Level 3 or 4) required.
ISO 22000 FSSC 22000 or internal auditor training preferred.
Knowledge of local food safety laws and hospitality industry regulations.
Strong attention to detail problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Excellent knowledge of HACCP and hygiene auditing
Strong communication and training abilities
Familiarity with food safety documentation and reporting
Ability to work in a high-pressure hospitality environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
