Job Description

Our client is supporting a fast-growing AI-powered SaaS product that is building a next-generation platform designed to transform workflows for enterprise customers. The platform leverages advanced AI tooling to automate and augment critical processes providing actionable insights and improving operational efficiency.
The product is currently in Beta with a full launch targeted later this year. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled DevOps Engineer to take ownership of cloud infrastructure CI/CD observability and security from the ground up. Youll join a new hybrid team during a period of transformation with a chance to directly shape the reliability and scalability of a high-impact AI platform.
About the project:
- The platform is a modern AI-native product built with AWS GitHub Actions Terraform Python and React. Infrastructure and CI/CD maturity are currently limited following delivery by an external vendor. Youll be responsible for designing and implementing stable environments observability tooling and DevOps automation from the ground up.
- This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working autonomously in lean
teams is comfortable improving underdeveloped infra and sees DevOps as a critical enabler of product velocity.
Tasks
- Design and manage secure scalable AWS infrastructure
- Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Terraform
- Implement logging monitoring and alerting frameworks for development and production environments
- Harden platform reliability through resilience measures (backups failovers rollback strategies)
- Partner with engineers and product to improve build/deploy/test cycles
- Build playbooks and runbooks for common issues and incident workflows
- Leverage AI tools (e.g. Copilot Windsurf LangChain) to improve delivery velocity and documentation
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure (required)
- Expertise with CI/CD tooling especially GitHub Actions
- Proficiency in Terraform (infrastructure-as-code)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerised application delivery
- Experience with observability tooling (e.g. OpenTelemetry AWS-native logging/monitoring)
- Exposure to DevSecOps principles and secrets management
- Working knowledge of Python (for scripts and pipelines)
- Bonus: familiarity with LLM tooling (e.g. OpenAI API LangChain)

- Rapid onboarding and up to speed in 23 weeks
- Infrastructure is stable observable and secure across environments
- Pipelines are reliable fast and enable confident delivery
- Logging and alerting systems support incident response and debugging
- Infrastructure-as-code is used consistently across the estate
- Product teams are unblocked and well-supported in deployment workflows
Business & Delivery
- Experience working in early-stage SaaS environments
- Strong ability to work with product and engineering teams in hybrid/agile settings
- Experience supporting live environments and production incidents
Working Practices
- Methodology: Agile (Scrum-lite / Kanban)
- Tooling: GitHub Jira Slack AWS GCP Figma
- Ceremonies: Daily standups sprint planning retrospectives and demos
Additional Information
- Onboarding: Includes intro sessions with team leads across engineering product and delivery
- All work is fully remote. Travel (if ever required) will be covered by the client
- Work eligibility excludes candidates in regions subject to UK financial sanctions
