Engagement Manager Digital Analytics

Join our Digital News & Media Analytics practice as the strategic lead steering analytics platforms tagging frameworks and insight delivery. Partner with Newsroom Marketing Commerce D2C Product and Audience-Development teams to shape strategy guide product roadmaps and accelerate reader growth and revenue. Inside our Digital Experience Lab youll turn behavioral and commerce data into smarter acquisition retention engagement and monetization decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft and roll out the analytics vision for D2C products and campaigns always tied to subscriber-growth and new-reader goals.
- Coach and mentor a small squad of Product Analysts and Implementation Engineers elevating their craft and careers.
- Liaise with stakeholders to capture business questions and recommend best-in-class data solutions.
- Translating business asks into clear analytics work-packages for the team.
- Champion data-storytelling that nudges Product Marketing Engineering and Design toward reader-centric decisions.
- Oversee solution delivery end-to-end-from research and design through build test and launch.
- Set and monitor KPIs sharing insights with both day-to-day operators and senior leaders.
- Pioneer new frameworks data-science approaches and predictive models to deepen journey understanding and personalization at scale.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors in data science Computer Science Statistics Business Analytics or related (Masters a plus).
- 6 years in a digital newsroom publisher or online-media environment-ideally with acquisition or subscription exposure.
- 4 years in analytics / data-science roles (product or marketing analytics preferred).
- 3 years guiding or formally mentoring analytics professionals.
- Deep expertise in product growth user-behavior analysis and project leadership.
- Broad command of digital measurement & experimentation (Adobe GA WordPress ; A/B & multivariate testing).
- Proven ability to design data-collection frameworks and measurement plans.
- Solid grasp of media channels (Display SEM/SEO Paid & Organic Social).
- Demonstrated success extracting insight from clickstream / web-traffic data.
- Working knowledge of statistics experimental design and causal inference.
- Confident SQL author plus fluency in BI / visualization tools (Tableau Power BI Looker Adobe Analytics).
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery Redshift Snowflake) and Customer Data Platforms.
- Familiarity with AdTech stacks (DMPs DSPs SSPs ad servers first-party data tools) and prevailing digital-media trends.
- Clear persuasive communicator who turns complex analysis into crisp actionable stories; meticulous organized and deadline driven.
