Job Title: Commercial Construction Project Manager
Location: Waterloo/Cedar Falls Iowa area (Local candidates only)
Industry: Commercial General Contracting / Construction
Employment Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday approximately 7:00 AM 5:00 PM (50 hours/week)
Travel Requirement: Local travel to job sites; valid drivers license required

Position SummaryWe are currently seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager with 5 10 years of experience to oversee and lead construction projects from pre-construction through close-out. The ideal candidate is highly organized technically skilled and passionate about delivering successful outcomes for all stakeholders - clients subcontractors suppliers and internal teams.
This role is open only to candidates who currently live within 45 minutes of Waterloo/Cedar Falls Iowa or have a strong personal reason to relocate to the area (e.g. family ties spouse relocation etc.). Relocation without a compelling reason will not be considered due to long-term retention concerns.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead all aspects of assigned construction projects from pre-construction through completion
Participate in project estimating and early planning
Draft and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
Handle procurement of materials and purchase agreements
Oversee submittal process and approvals
Develop maintain and monitor project schedules
Track and control project costs budgets and resources
Conduct and lead progress meetings with stakeholders
Process change orders and cost adjustments accurately and timely
Ensure safety standards are met and jobs comply with OSHA regulations
Work closely with field teams owners architects and engineers to resolve issues proactively
Continually improve processes and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing
Experience: 5 10 years of experience in commercial construction project management (required)
Education: Bachelors degree in Construction Management (strongly preferred)
Local Knowledge: Must reside locally or have a strong personal connection to the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area
