Job Title: Enterprise / Systems Architect

Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise / Systems Architect to lead the design and evolution of secure scalable architecture for an enterprise-grade application platform supporting federal missions. This role requires deep expertise in application infrastructure data integration API management and cloud-readiness while ensuring compliance with federal security and IT policy frameworks.
The ideal candidate will define architectural standards guide cross-functional technical decision-making and ensure the long-term success of the platform through strategic planning and modern engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities - Design and oversee the overall system architecture ensuring modularity scalability and maintainability.
- Lead the integration of platform components including legacy systems third-party APIs and data flows.
- Define technical standards system roadmaps and upgrade paths aligned with enterprise goals.
- Provide architectural guidance across DevSecOps CI/CD cloud migration and containerization efforts.
- Ensure system performance scalability and security compliance with standards such as FISMA NIST FedRAMP FIPS and ATO requirements.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity infrastructure and development teams to enforce best practices.
Required Skills & Experience - Proven experience in enterprise and systems architecture for large-scale applications.
- Hands-on expertise in cloud and on-prem infrastructure including:
- Red Hat Linux
- Docker / Kubernetes
- PostgreSQL and relational database design
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture API gateways and secure API development.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Ansible Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience integrating with legacy systems and third-party services in secure environments.
- Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks including FedRAMP ATO NIST 800-53 and FIPS 140-2.
- Strong communication documentation and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Preferred / Nice to Have - Cloud platform experience with AWS Azure or Google Cloud (preferably with government offerings like AWS GovCloud).
- Enterprise architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF AWS Certified Solutions Architect etc.).
- Experience in large-scale federal digital modernization or low-code platform transformations.
