Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst with strong AI/ML product ownership experience in the automotive industry. This role will serve as the critical bridge between business stakeholders SMEs and technical teams ensuring the successful delivery of data-driven intelligent solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of automotive dealer workflows hands-on experience mapping business processes and the ability to articulate requirements in Gherkin syntax
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Product Owner and Business Analyst for AI/ML-powered products in the automotive domain particularly around dealer service workflows.
- Collaborate with StarParts product owners and stakeholders to define and prioritize product features and use cases.
- Map as-is dealer workflows to gain a deep understanding of current business processes and pain points.
- Translate business requirements into well-defined Gherkin user stories and define clear acceptance criteria.
- Validate acceptance criteria and ensure business alignment directly with product stakeholders.
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across domains to gather input and confirm business logic and requirements.
- Work closely with design development and data science teams to ensure business goals are accurately reflected in the final solutions.
- Facilitate sprint planning backlog grooming and sprint reviews in agile development cycles.
- Support UAT conduct demos and ensure that product increments meet customer expectations
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of Business Analysis experience including direct product ownership in AI/ML initiatives.
- Proven experience working in the automotive domain preferably on service repair or dealer operations.
- Strong knowledge of dealer workflows and service lifecycle.
- Proficient in writing Gherkin-style user stories and defining clear testable acceptance criteria.
- Ability to map as-is business processes and identify gaps and opportunities.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira Confluence).
- Technical familiarity with AI/ML concepts and the ability to translate business needs into data science objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with StarParts or similar OEM service parts solutions.
- Exposure to AI/ML use cases in automotive service optimization predictive maintenance or parts recommendation.
- Understanding of automotive dealer management systems (DMS) or ERP tools.
- Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Computer Science or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
