Job Description
Job Title : Data Governance Manager
Experience : 12-18 Years
Location : Pune
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating with Data Owners to identify critical SAP master data elements for Supplier Finance and Bank.
- Create and manage a business-facing data glossary and catalog for SAP master data capturing definitions lineage and usage..
- Establish and enforce data governance policies standards and processes to ensure quality management and compliance for SAP Master Data (Finance Supplier and Customer).
- Perform data quality assessments and drive corrective actions for identified issues.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to embed data governance into all SAP business processes.
- Ensure visibility into SAP data assets their lineage and transformations.
- Lead governance forums and councils to address data issues standards and ongoing improvements.
- Prepare data documentation covering models process flows policies and stewardship roles.
- Collaborate with IT data teams and business units to implement data governance standards and tools.
- Track data governance efforts measure progress and report key metrics to senior management.
- Deliver training and awareness programs to promote data governance across the organization.
- Show strong expertise in SAP and ERP master data structures like Vendor Customer Cost/Profit Centers and GL Accounts.
- Work with pillar leads to develop key policies on data privacy lifecycle and quality management.
Requisites:
- Experience of implementing data governance in SAP environment both transactional and master data
- Expert knowledge of data governance concepts around data definition and catalog data ownership data lineage data policies and controls data monitoring and data governance forums
- Deep knowledge of SAP ERP and associated data structures
- Experience of driving large multi-year ground-breaking change across multiple geographies across multiple data domains
- Leadership qualities to steer the team and drive forum meetings
- Ability to influence senior partners and secure sponsorship/consensus for data transformation agenda
- Project management Domain knowledge Procurement Finance Customer Eye For Business Critical thinking Story telling
- Stay updated with industry trends standard methodologies and new technologies in data management data analytics space
