Location: Dallas TX Onsite
Job Description:
The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders business users and technical teams to gather analyze document and validate business requirements for new projects enhancements or process improvements. The role focuses on translating business needs into functional specifications to support effective solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Gather document and analyze business requirements through stakeholder interviews workshops surveys and observation
Create Business Requirement Documents (BRD) Functional Requirement Documents (FRD) and User Stories
Develop process flows use cases wireframes and data mapping documents to define solutions clearly
Collaborate with Product Owners Developers QA teams and Project Managers to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly
Participate in UAT planning and defect triage ensuring deliverables meet business needs
Support the development of business cases ROI analysis and cost-benefit analysis for proposed solutions
Identify gaps between business requirements and existing systems providing recommendations for process or system improvements
Conduct impact analysis for changes enhancements and new initiatives
Facilitate effective communication and stakeholder management ensuring alignment throughout project life cycles
Maintain and manage requirement traceability matrices (RTM)
Assist in developing training materials and user manuals and provide support during rollout
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Systems or related field
2-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role (modify based on level required)
Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and tools
Proficiency in MS Office Suite Visio Jira Confluence or similar tools
Experience with Agile Scrum or Waterfall methodologies
Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to liaise between business and technical teams effectively
Preferred Skills:
CBAP or CCBA certification (if required)
Experience in specific domain e.g. Banking Insurance Healthcare Retail IT
Knowledge of SQL or data analysis tools for querying and data validation
Experience with process improvement frameworks (Lean Six Sigma) is a plus
