Innovamat is an educational tool that aims to promote a competency-based personalized and practical way of learning mathematics. It is aimed at children between the ages of 3 and 16 and it prioritizes the understanding of content and the development of mathematical skills linked to problem solving. Innovamat encourages learning through experimentation conversation and individualized this sense Innovamat offers sequenced learning trajectories resources training and contact with the educational community; experts in mathematics education and the science behind mathematical learning.
Innovamat was founded in 2017 in Barcelona (Spain) and works with 21500 teachers from more than 2300 schools in Spain Italy Mexico Colombia Chile Ecuador Brazil Peru and US who teach competency-based and meaningful mathematics to more than 490000 students.
Innovamat takes research very seriously and strongly believes in its critical role for transforming education. The research team plays a transversal and fundamental role which includes measuring the impact of Innovamats proposal as well as providing insights that enable changes and the development of new products based on scientific evidence. The research team is also responsible for sharing their findings with the scientific community through well-designed studies suitable for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentation at scientific conferences.
You will be part of the Research team (HQ Sant Cugat del Valls) supporting various research tasks and leading studies focused on the implementation of the educational proposal. Your mission will be to better understand the factors influencing the implementation of the proposal and the indicators that allow predicting its success.

Propose research questions and design studies to answer them.
Conduct literature reviews and communicate them to different teams to inform decision-making.
Participate in and lead the implementation of research studies including participant recruitment teacher training data collection (tests interviews focus groups etc.) etc.
Analyze data and play a key role in interpreting the results.
Communicate research findings internally (to other teams) and externally (conferences papers blog articles workshops etc.).
Find research collaborations and grant opportunities.
Build a trust relationship with the management team and the teaching staff of the centers participating in the research.
Stay up to date with the educational landscape new trends and future challenges.
More than 2 years of research experience in social sciences (education sociology psychology or cognition economics) in a topic related to learning or education.
Master degree in social sciences (Doctorate is nice to have!)
You are passionate about education and are familiar with the educational environment.
Proven research skills including study design protocol design data collection data analysis and writing skills.
Proven knowledge of mixed methods both qualitative (focus groups interviews field work etc.) and quantitative (parametric and non-parametric methods regressions etc.).
You are comfortable speaking in public and have strong communication skills.
Eager to work in a dynamic motivating environment with a fast-paced workload.
Great capacity and willingness to learn and proactive in problem-solving.
You are a team player and show initiative.
Fluent in both spoken and written Spanish and English.
Driving license (Category B).

You are familiar with research in mathematics education.
You are fluent in Catalan.
