Our client who is in the travel and tourism industry is seeking a Travel Consultant to be stationed at the airport desk. The Travel Consultant will be responsible for providing immediate travel assistance to customers at the airport including booking last-minute flights handling disruptions offering destination information and delivering high-quality customer service under time-sensitive conditions. The ideal candidate is quick-thinking calm under pressure and possesses strong interpersonal and technical skills to handle real-time travel requests efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Assist walk-in clients at the airport desk with flight bookings hotel reservations lounge access and other travel-related services.
Respond to urgent travel needs such as flight delays cancellations or rebooking by offering prompt and suitable solutions.
Provide customers with accurate and up-to-date travel information including schedules pricing and destination advice.
Manage and resolve booking discrepancies and ensure customer satisfaction.
Promote and upsell travel products packages and additional services available through the agency.
Coordinate with airline partners hotels and internal support teams to facilitate seamless service delivery.
Maintain accurate records of transactions and prepare necessary documentation for all bookings and service changes.
Ensure timely follow-up and after-service support when needed.
Work flexible shifts including evenings weekends and holidays in line with airport operations.
Diploma or Degree in Travel & Tourism Hospitality Business Administration or a related field.
Proven experience as a travel consultant preferably in an airport or high-pressure setting.
Proficiency in Global Distribution Systems (GDS); preference for Galileo.
Excellent communication customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to handle unexpected disruptions calmly and professionally.
Presentable well-organized and capable of multitasking under time constraints.
Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to promote and close travel services effectively.
Proficiency in MS Office and booking systems.
Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules based on airport activity.
