Looking to take your supply planning career to the next level Join Air New Zealand as a permanent Supply Planning Specialist and help us keep our operations running smoothly by ensuring the right parts are in the right place at the right time.
Were looking for experienced planners to join our Supply Planning Chapter in Auckland. Youll play a key role in developing and executing inventory plans that support our engineering and maintenance teams helping us deliver safe reliable journeys for our customers.
What youll be doing
Youll be responsible for managing inventory across a portfolio of items using demand inputs actual orders lead times and available stock. Your work will directly influence our ability to meet customer demand while minimising waste and cost.
Key responsibilities include
- Developing inventory plans aligned with business strategy and operational constraints
- Maintaining capacity and production schedules to meet service and cost objectives
- Setting preferred stock levels and preventing excess inventory
- Monitoring KPIs such as service levels surplus/obsolete stock and vendor performance
- Leading weekly supply review meetings and escalating issues where needed
- Collaborating across procurement engineering maintenance and commercial teams
- Driving process improvements and supporting new product launches or discontinuations
- Conducting capacity assessments to inform supply chain decisions
What were looking for
Youll be a resourceful planner with strong influencing skills and technical proficiency in:
- SAP ERP Power BI and MS Office tools (Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
- Data analysis reporting and visual communication
- Presentation design and stakeholder engagement
Youll also bring a proactive mindset strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
