Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for the configuration maintenance and reliable operation of all network infrastructure devices such as switches firewalls routers etc.
- Responsible for the security of the company network including ingress and egress traffic.
- Partner with the systems administrator to help monitor support and maintain the company servers applications and other technologies.
- Provide escalated support to Helpdesk/Desktop Support personnel.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics documenting problems and resolutions prioritizing problems and assessing impact of issues.
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
Required Education and Experience
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Computer Science Information Technology Network Services or related field OR a combination of education and relevant experience
- A minimum of 5 years of network management administration experience.
Required Qualifications
- IT Certifications: Cisco Microsoft or other network related fields.
- Working knowledge of Cisco iOS Fortigate firewalls or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software hardware and networking protocols.
- Strong experience in VMWare and HyperV
- Experience with scripting and automation tools.
- A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
- Strong knowledge of implementation and effective development of helpdesk and IT operations best practices.
