Role Purpose
This role requires technical excellence having good market insight to support commercial & technical development in Pakistan. Develop close liaison with R&D and marketing team to help in planning and launching of NPI. Lead as a technical expert to bring sustainable solutions to meet long term customers needs. Identify new technologies to develop integrated solutions to address grower problems.
Territorial Business Accountabilities
- Identify portfolio gaps for key field crops and vegetables & provide proposals
- Keep close liaison with R&D team to build understanding on new developments of Syngenta
- Manage successful pre-launch demonstrations in coordination with sales & commercial teams
- Manage pre-launch field days with the help of sale team at successful demonstrations
- Keep close contact with R&D colleagues to get technical assistance
- Develop & execute plans as per agreement with line manager
- Innovate your ideas/thinking to build confidence in commercial teams
- Use new technology to bring innovation in sharing your findings with your customers
- Keep close eye on competition activities & new developments in agriculture
- Develop close contact with Research Institutes/Academia to have firsthand information on new developments in agriculture
- Develop close contact with farmers understand their problems and provide technical & sustainable solutions
- Draw a list of key challenges of Pakistan agriculture & consult to find out innovative solutions of their problems
- Develop a Learning and Development Center focused on crop programs and confidence building of stakeholders on NPIs.
Critical knowledge
- Strong techno-commercial background
- Preferably masters in Entomology Pathology and Agronomy
- Updated knowledge on key crops of Pakistan
- Information on important insects/pests of these crops
- Experience in Farm Management
Critical Experience
- Good information of crops/pests/pesticides
- Good expertise of application techniques trial layout pest identification data capturing and digital knowhow
- Capability to train people
