POSITION SUMMARY:
The Digital Engagement Coordinator is responsible for organizing executing and nurturing digital marketing programs including: Social Media Email/SMS Marketing Online customer engagement and communication Project Management and Data Collection. The primary duties of this position will be focused on supporting digital marketing initiatives and customer communication via social media email and SMS marketing platforms. The successful candidate will demonstrate thorough yet quick decision making strong organization and time management skills and fluency in digital consumer behavior and digital marketing.
This is a full-time non-exempt position with business hours Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; work outside of these days and hours occurs occasionally in order to meet the needs of the business. This position is located in Olympia WA and reports directly to the DTC Marketing Manager. Local travel to photoshoots will be required from time to time. Responsibilities herein represent typical elements and criteria considered necessary to perform the job successfully. Other duties may be assigned to meet emerging business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates activity plans and timelines for Social Media Email and SMS marketing campaigns.
- Coordinates work/deliverables across the marketing team to support the teams objectives.
- Uses project management software and tools to streamline marketing activities and team collaboration.
- Plans and coordinates a wide variety of tasks with cross-functional teams ensuring all targets and requirements are met and completed on schedule.
- Executes and supports publishing digital content across various marketing platforms.
- Maintains continuous contact with stakeholders coordinating resources and providing project alignment.
- In collaboration with key stakeholders works to meet business and marketing objectives and targets.
- Collaborates on Email/SMS marketing calendar building and scheduling marketing messages and associated customer segmentation efforts.
- Monitors social media platforms and responds to customer comments inquiries and tagged posts ensuring tone of voice is brand-aligned across all external communications. Works with other departments and teams as needed to determine best courses of action in responding to social media comments and questions.
- Assists with interdepartmental communication to ensure continuity and awareness of efforts in the digital space.
- Supports content creation (copy images video) activities based on needs of both Fungi Perfecti and Host Defense brand channels.
- Collaborates closely with other members of the Marketing team to confirm accuracy and quality of work.
- Monitors and reports on like-minded brands and competitors platforms and news coverage.
- Provides assistance for digital marketing platforms tools and integrations.
- Works closely with the Digital Asset Manager and other team members to properly store and organize digital assets.
- Performs a variety of other duties as assigned.
KEY REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-3 years of experience with customer-facing communication; basic knowledge of DSHEA is a plus.
- BS/BA in Communications Business Computer Science and/or relevant field preferred.
- Intermediate level skillset in social media management.
- Two (2) years of digital marketing experience.
- Strong written communication that conveys technical information clearly and concisely.
- Basic graphic design experience preferred.
- Basic experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- DSLR camera photo and video experience preferred.
- Experience in Klaviyo 1st party marketing platform is a bonus.
- Experience in Sprout social media platform is a bonus.
- Highly effective team member; open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement deliverables and communication.
- Ability to work flexibly to meet a variety of needs.
- Strong organizational skills detail oriented accurate and thorough.
- Experience working with a variety of customers and asks questions to ensure content is accurate.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time; a stand-up desk is available upon request.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on an infrequent basis.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in an organized fast-paced environment.
- Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.
- Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
- Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

Wage Range (DOE): $29.89 - $49.82 per hour
