Job Description

Salary: $50000 - 55000

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

Special Citizens Futures Unlimited (SCFU) is hiring a dedicated Quality Improvement Specialist/Training Coordinator to support our commitment to excellence in services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This dual-function role is split evenly between staff training and internal auditing ensuring compliance with OPWDD OMIG and agency standards while enhancing employee development.

Responsibilities:

Training & Development (50%)

  • Develop schedule and deliver training programs aligned with OPWDD OMIG and agency requirements.
  • Maintain training calendars and records in the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Monitor compliance and notify staff/supervisors of required trainings.
  • Collaborate with departments to assess training needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and report insights to leadership

Quality Improvement & Auditing (50%)

  • Conduct internal audits to assess program and documentation compliance.
  • Prepare audit reports and track corrective actions.
  • Assist with preparations for external audits (OPWDD OMIG etc.)
  • Stay current on regulatory changes and update internal policies and training accordingly.
  • Safeguard confidential information in compliance with HIPAA and agency policies

Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Human Services Education Healthcare Administration or related field
  • 2 years of experience in training compliance or auditing (OPWDD setting preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of OPWDD and OMIG regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office EHR systems and LMS platforms
  • Excellent communication organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Valid and clean drivers license required
