Learning Assistant Hounslow September 2025 Start
Location: Hounslow West London
Contract: Permanent Term Time Only (39 weeks)
Hours: 09:0015:30 Monday to Friday (30.5 hours per week including weekly meeting)
Pay: 21684 per annum (Pro Rata) Inner London
Start Date: September 2025 or as soon as possible

A supportive and inclusive special school in Hounslow is seeking a full-time Learning Assistant to join their dedicated team. This Learning Assistant role is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively has a strong sense of empathy and is committed to helping pupils with severe learning difficulties and autism thrive in a structured learning environment.
As a Learning Assistant you will work with pupils aged 419 across a wide-ranging curriculum tailored to individual needs. Youll provide essential support in both classroom and care-based settings helping children access learning develop independence and feel confident throughout the school day.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with complex needs and autism during lessons and therapy sessions
- Assisting with communication personal care routines and daily activities (training provided)
- Encouraging positive behaviour engagement and social interaction
- Collaborating with teachers therapists and families to provide consistent high-quality support
- Participating in weekly class meetings and school-wide development activities
Were looking for:
- Experience working with children or young people ideally in a SEND setting
- A calm resilient and team-minded approach
- Willingness to learn and undertake relevant training
- Full-time term-time only availability
