The Palmer Criminal Division of the Alaska Court System (ACS) is recruiting for a Court Case Manager 2 (salary range 12). This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Personnel rules will be applied to determine step placement for the successful internal candidate.


The Position

This position is responsible for independently processing criminal and minor offense case filings ensuring all documents comply with court rules and statutes. It involves reviewing motions judgments and court notes; entering and tracking case data in the CourtView system; and generating audit reports to ensure accuracy.

The role requires regular communication with attorneys self-represented parties and court staff to address document deficiencies and explain procedureswithout offering legal advice. The incumbent also handles expedited filings provides support at the public counter and by phone and assists with training and coverage for other desks.

Additional duties include preparing files for microfilming retrieving records managing confidential documents and responding to records requests. All work is performed with a strong focus on accuracy efficiency and exemplary customer service within the standards of the Alaska Court System.


The Work Schedule

Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of advanced clerical work experience equivalent to a Court Case Manager 1 with the Alaska Court System or an equivalent position with another employer.

OR

Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND completion of a two-year paralegal curriculum from an accredited institution.

OR

A bachelors degree from an accredited college.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
