SUMMARY
Lystek is seeking a full-time CAD Designer and BIM Specialist to assist in the design management and construction of projects. The Designer will assist Lysteks Engineering and Projects team to deliver process mechanical electrical and civil drawings while managing a collaborative BIM workspace. This position reports to the Projects and Engineering Manager.
This position is well suited to an individual who wants to utilize their design talent and experience to execute fast paced construction and technology installation projects.
Lystek is a technology company that specializes in organic materials recovery. Our work helps municipalities and other generators world-wide maximize resource recovery and reduce greenhouse gas emissions through its innovative approach to biosolids and organics management. Our patented and award-winning thermal hydrolysis technology can be leveraged to optimize anaerobic digesters and biological nutrient removal systems at wastewater treatment facilities while also contributing to waste diversion and environmental sustainability. This is achieved by transforming non-hazardous organic materials into nutrient-rich federally-registered fertilizers and other multi-purpose products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete design and drafting for facility design and equipment layouts using REVIT 3D Civil 3D and AutoCAD software
- Includes Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Mechanical Layouts Electrical Layouts and Site Plans
- Manage the BIM design collaboration workspace for internal and external use
- Manage Lysteks equipment block library
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Lysteks design standards
- Complete as-built drawing packages for Lystek installations
- Integrate 3rd party drafting works into Lystek designs
- Complete quality control of equipment layout designs and service routing
- Stay up to date with industry advancements including new software releases and emerging design best practices
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Fast-paced work environment typically on large complex projects
- Working primarily in an office setting as well as occasional visits to project sites
- Exposure to operating wastewater treatment plants waste management facilities and construction site environments in all seasons and weather conditions
- Travel expenses paid by employer
EXPERIENCE & POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The following qualifications are required for this position:
- Proficiency with REVIT 3D CAD software
- Proficiency with Civil 3D CAD software
- Proficiency with AutoCAD software
- Proficiency with Plant 3D CAD software
- Proficiency using BIM Collaborate
- Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud (or BIM 360)
- Strong knowledge and understanding of industrial equipment and equipment package design
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are mandatory
- Thorough attention to detail
- Strong knowledge and understanding of industrial process design
- Proficient and professional in oral and written communication
- Valid full G class drivers license
- Willing to work in a team environment utilizing effective interpersonal skills with various levels within the organization and external stakeholders.
