The Civmec Balanced Machines Division has been awarded a number of machine projects. The machines are designed fabricated assembled and tested at our state-of-the-art Henderson facility. There is a healthy pipeline of machine projects going forward which Civmec will be involved with.

We are seeking experiencedPrincipal Mechanical Engineersto join this expanding team of professional Balanced Machines Engineers. The successful applicant will be part of a busy multi-discipline design and delivery team delivering some of exciting mining machine project for our clients.

The Role

  • Review and interpret scope of works technical specifications;
  • Act as a lead mechanical engineer or assist the lead mechanical engineer for project delivery and assist with tenders;
  • Design specify and/or select components;
  • Complete 2D and/or 3D design related works
  • Participate in design and safety reviews;
  • Determine scope and/or design changes;
  • Prepare calculations reports datasheets BOM scope of works construction and/or commissioning methodologies;
  • Provide procurement and manufacturing support;
  • Assist services and spares related works and attend site as required;
  • Assist with the commissioning of machines;
  • Train and mentor juniorpersonnel;
  • Drive QA/QC best outcomes for the Company and Clients;

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering;
  • Minimum of seven (7) years experience in the mining industry.
  • Balanced machines and materials handling experience
  • Proficient in relevant engineering tools software and CAD systems; and
  • Experience with direct liaison in a multidisciplinary team.
