What youll do
In this pivotal role youll lead all aspects of financial planning performance reporting and strategic analysis for our $600M Canadian operation which represents approximately 50% of AutoScout24s total group revenue.
As Head of FP&A you will lead a team of 10 professionals with responsibility across all three Canadian business units (Internet Marketplace Software and FinTech). Youll be a critical partner to each business unit enabling insights that drive operational and financial improvement while assisting with the integration of TRADERs reporting budgeting and analysis into AutoScout24s global framework.
This leadership position will work closely with the CEO private equity ownership and business unit leads to provide timely accurate reporting and business insights serving as a trusted business partner to the TRADER CFO.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead annual budget modeling and periodic reforecasting with monthly MD&A highlighting key performance drivers trends and areas of concern.
- Financial & Business KPIs: Develop and manage key financial metrics to provide real-time insights into business performance.
- Financial Reporting: Lead the production of monthly quarterly and annual financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Highlight trends key actions and strategic implications.
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Act as a critical voice in investment and business discussions introducing quantitative rigor to qualitative assessments. Build relationships to ensure Finance is well informed and has a strong voice in the organization.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee a 13-week cash flow forecast linked to the income statement and balance sheet and provide weekly liqudity reports.
- FP&A Organizational Transformation: Support an ongoing organizational transformation to strengthen the overall finance function by upgrading talent streamlining roles and responsibilities and representing FP&A needs in ongoing billing/accounting systems implementations (as necessary).
- Team Leadership: Lead the FP&A team including staff recruitment development and performance management. Identify develop and retain talent to support business growth.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Undertake ad hoc requests as agreed with the CFO.
Your qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive FP&A or related experience in a tech environment; preferrably with global/cross-border experience
- Demonstrated history of increasing levels of responsibility and leadership experience in a public or PE-owned company is a plus
- Strong ability to provide both financial and strategic guidance
- Excellent data analysis skills with ability to extract meaningful insights; familiarity with BI Tools (PowerBI Tableau Alteryx etc.) is a plus
- Proven supervisory experience over direct and indirect reports
- Demonstrated ability to partner with C-suite executives and senior leadership teams Expereience working in a public or PEowned c
- Experience collaborating with business unit leads on strategic initiatives
