Job Description
Join our Downer Professional Servicesteam and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australias future.
Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units our Technical Advisory and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer a major service partner to Defence. Together we are amulti-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for a Risks Assumptions Issues and Dependencies (RAID) Manager in Canberra to work a Defence Cyber Project.
What Youll Do
This role offers a broad scope with key responsibilities including:
- Monitor and manage project risks issues assumptions and dependencies ensuring compliance with relevant standards and frameworks.
- Conduct regular risk reviews facilitate Risk Review Boards and maintain project risk registers.
- Develop implement and refine risk management business continuity and crisis management processes.
- Provide risk-related insights reporting and trend analyses to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Coach and mentor project teams on risk management best practices.
- Ensure clear and effective communication of risk-related matters across all levels of the organization.
What Youll Bring
- Familiarity with risk and project management tools and frameworks.
- Understanding of ISO standards (ISO 31000 ISO 9001).
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
- Previous experience in a similar role ideally within the Defence or professional services industries.
Due to the nature of the work you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimumNegative Vetting 1or higher Security clearance as required by the some instances compliance withInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
