Northern Beaches Hospital provides world-class Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 486 beds 50-bed Emergency Department 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU 14 fully equipped theatres including hybrid theatres two cardiac catheter labs and four procedure rooms and a state of the art education and interactive SIM centre.

About the Department
The Northern Beaches Hospital Mental Health Service offers consumers a personalised treatment program and fresh and comfortable surrounds to assist recovery and optimal wellbeing. Our Mental Health Service currently provides 61 beds across 4 specialised wards:
The NBH therapy program is a unique combination of evidence-based therapies. It is predominantly founded upon the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). Elements of other therapies are also utilised to facilitate better outcomes for people such as Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) Solution Focused Therapy and CBT-based Mindfulness. The NBH mental health service has a reputation for excellent service and provides a positive workplace for your professional development.
Your Role
The Unaccredited Trainee will provide psychiatric/medical clinical services to a range of subspecialty areas in the Mental Health Department at NBH. These clinical areas include Public Adult Private Adult Consultation Liaison and Addiction Psychiatry Older Age Psychiatry and Emergency Department Mental Health Services. There will be rostered After Hours Work as part of the role shared with the Training Registrars. You will be supervised by senior medical staff to ensure your responsibilities are commensurate with your clinical experience and according to RANZCP guidelines.
