Applications are now welcome for a new role in our Business Winning Team.

Reporting to the Business Winning Director Senior Proposal Managers lead and govern the end-to-end proposal process leveraging Shipley best practices while ensuring alignment with internal bid governance processes. They plan coordinate and deliver compliant differentiating proposals and work collaboratively with cross-functional matrixed and geographically dispersed teams. More specifically Senior Proposal Managers:

  • Support Campaign Managers by guiding opportunities facilitating structured analyses of business case validation risk assessment and resource requirements to enable robust executive go/no-go decisions
  • Develop and maintain capture plans and coordinate early solution storyboards
  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional matrixed and geographically dispersed teams comprising subject matter experts writers commercial specialists and external partners to deliver a cohesive high-quality proposals
  • Plan and chair formal review cycles
  • Oversee final assembly version control and delivery of proposals and post-submission conduct debriefs and lessons-learned workshops

In terms of location; whilst Canberra is a strong preference for this role candidates in Adelaide Brisbane and Melbourne are also encouraged to apply. We will be flexible for the right person across any of those locations.

In terms of the ideal candidate that starts with enthusiasm results orientation and a make things happen approach. Someone who thrives on challenge is a natural collaborator and loves playing and winning as a team. We also seek:

  • Demonstrated mastery of Shipley bid/no-bid decision frameworks capture planning methodologies and formal Shipley review-gate processes
  • Experience mobilising and influencing cross-functional matrixed and geographically dispersed teams under tight deadlines through Shipley coordination practices
  • Exceptional skills in applying Shipley writing principles
  • Deep understanding of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) acquisition lifecycle Defence procurement rules export controls and security-clearance requirements
  • Substantial hands-on proposal or capture management experience

Prior exposure to maritime land or joint Defence programmes (e.g. C4ISR training systems and sustainment contracts) is preferred.

Due to the nature of these roles applicants must be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance. Current security clearance is advantageous.
